Is FirstCry.com and/or SBI indulging in unfair business practices through misleading offers and advertisements?

Firstcry.com is in the selling and marketing of mainly baby products which includes clothing, toys, CDs, birthday party supplies, baby diapering, feeding and nursing, bath and skin care, Moms & Maternity, and Gifts etc.  As per information available on their website, the company has stated that it handles: 2 Lakh+ unique products 5800 Brands 7.5 million registered users The site has listed only the praising feedback from their consumers, the last feedback being of 8th June 2017.  Surprisingly no feedback has been given on their site after 8th June 2017 and also the author could not find any adverse feedback.                However, a recent complaint received from one of the consumer reflects the poor customer services and leads one to believe about their practice of adapting to misleading business through false advertisements in a misleading manner. Whether IDFC Bank resorting to collection of Deposits in Fastag by adapting to unfair business practices and whether their consumer grievance system meets the aspirations of Consumers?

National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) has come out with a Fastag to enable motorist to cross the toll plaza barriers without stopping at any of the toll plaza. The toll fee as applicable to the particular toll plaza gets automatically deducted from the prepaid balance in the card. Three Banks have been nominated for such fastag cards namely IDFC Bank, State Bank of India (SBI) and ICICI Bank. The main terms of the financial cost in the Tags have been specified by NHAI for the car as: 1. Cost of the Tag           : Rs. 200/- 2. Security Deposit         : Rs. 200/- 3. Minimum balance       : Rs. 100/- The term Minimum Balance has been specified as "Minimum Balance is the minimum recharge amount to be done at the time of RFID tag activation" The plain reading of these costs indicates that the Tag would be costing you Rs. 500/- which will be having Rs. 100/- as minimum balance and the tag would be an active one...

Is State Bank of India adapting unfair trade practices?

I have already brought out an article quoting copy of the complaint sent to Reserve Bank of India to intervene in the matter of unfair banking practices by the commercial Banks in India on account of SMS alert charges. Need for intervention of Reserve Bank of India to put a stop on the unfair business practices of the Commercial Banks on a/c of SMS Alert Fee amounting to estimated Rs. 5,000 crores in a year This is in continuation to my article titled " Unethical business revenue by banks on account of charging SMS Alert Services" was brought out on this blog on 5th April 2014 and 28th August 2014.
